What is up with 105.9 going to an oldies format? I just tried to listen over the internet and got oldies music.

No offense to the oldies music fans, but WJZW was awesome to listen to when I would visit family. Enjoyable smooth jazz music to listen to, I'm not happy...

Same thing happened here in Omaha when 93.3 went from a classic country music station (ie. Eddie Arnold) to a modern country format similar to Kat 103.7. I like the old country music as well. Didn't make much sense since Clear Channel owns both stations

I don't get it unless it's rating driven. What a travesty...

There are several smooth jazz stations on the internet.

Among them are my local smooth jazz station, www.wsbz.com (http://www.wsbz.com)

Then there is www.smoothjazz.com out of Monterey Bay, California

If you have iTunes, there are dozens of smooth jazz and jazz stations available with a click of the mouse, including one of the founding stations of the gendre, 94.7 The Wave out of Los Angeles.

I'm mad about the one down near DC. I listened to that station anytime I was in town. Now, it won't be there whenever I stop back through.

So get a Sirius receiver and tune to Channel 71. The local smooth jazz station here is on the same frequency as a country station in a nearby town in Alabama. Weird when you hear Toby Keith and Boney James alternating depending upon the capture effect.
