I am officially renouncing my affiliation with and registered status with the Republican party.

The recent events involving Bill Cunningham’s remarks was probably the lowest point of the party in recent memory. This so-called “voice of the common man” should be more appropriately called “voice of the mindless simpleton”. There is no apology or excuse for this intolerant bozo being selected as opening speaker on the campaign stop. McCain is having surrogates do his dirty work, and I have lost all respect for him as a candidate for high office.

The Republican Party is tarnished. It is a group of racist, religiously intolerant, gay bashing, war mongering, intelligence warping, spendthrifts. What happened to the party of Ronald Reagan? All the smart people died. I will not align myself with a party that is spiraling into a cesspool of brainless ditto-heads that point blame at those who can think.

My beloved party has gone off a cliff.

I want to believe that McCain is a better man than many of his supporters, and a better man than some of them deserve....but I could also believe that this was a stunt to create the impression of a distance between McCain and the dittoheads, so as to look more "moderate" to the general electorate.

Willie is well known here in Cincinnati, as precisely the sort of hateful alpha-hotel that he appeared to be yesterday. What is really sad is that most of the local hicks and haters think that he is just right.

I suspect McCain knows that the dittoheads and DeLay-ers are no longer the national force that they were, despite their continuing attractiveness to some folks in places like Cincinnati and QRZ.

Oh well. FDR saved the business community from itself, and Reagan saved the Democrats from themselves. "Same as it ever was!"

Welcome aboard the Reality Express. Some of us saw this the day they gave Dick Cheney the keys to the back door of the White House. Bush isn't smart enough to screw things up this bad on his own.

You can thank Ronald Reagan and friends for that.

The recent events involving Bill Cunningham’s remarks was probably the lowest point of the party in recent memory. Is he an official spokesman for the GOP? NO!

Then what do his remarks have to do with the GOP?!?! Oh wait... nothing!

McCain is having surrogates do his dirty work, and I have lost all respect for him as a candidate for high office. Uhh... McCain apologized for this unnecessarily.

The Republican Party is tarnished. Uhh... that happened many decades ago.

It is a group of racist, religiously intolerant, gay bashing, war mongering, intelligence warping, spendthrifts. You have obviously never studied any of Ron Paul's polices - a Barry Goldwater Republican.

The Republican party has gone down the tubes, and right-wing radio is the draino. the fact that the GOP doesn't distance itself from these nut jobs is what is dumbs the party down. The last conservative intelectual just died.

I was a Republican years ago. The first presidential candidate I voted for was Barry Goldwater. Over time the Republican party has changed dramatically. It used to the party of individual rights, small government, and fiscal responsibility. It is now the party of big and bigger government, big business rights while screwing the individual, and fiscal irresponsibility. My beliefs haven’t changed much over the years but I no longer am a Republican.

When I compare what happened in this country during Clinton’s two terms versus George W. Bush’s two terms. it is clear that we had prosperity during Clinton and recession during Bush. And Bush has brought us a senseless war that has killed thousands for no good purpose other than enriching Halliburton. The national debt that he and his Neo-Con buddies have given us will drag down our standard of living for generations.

Hey Dave, this is funny. If you remember 4 years ago when Bush was re-elected, the democratic party was in "Disarry", "Meaningless" etc. It goes in cycles. BTW, good luck with the other party or no party. It's not any better. Its' all about themselves.

Hello.

What Nut Jobs, GW?
In Texas, we had Clayton Williams running for governer.

So, you see, Nut Jobs abound in the Republican party in Texas.
But, there are a lot of Femmie-Nazi types in the Democratic party, so it all evens out.

And LEFT wing radio is thriving, and the millions of conservatives that listen to shows like Rush, daily, are a bunch of mind numbed robots, yea that's the ticket. Good try, but devoid of facts.
