We laugh everytime we hear that frequency. Great entertainment. We don't know who's more wrong. Karol or the people trying to jam him. We wonder how many of the jammers are 20 wpm extras and 13 wpm Generals? Good question for another thead?

Karol is just plain old bad news,he seems to only get on the air anymore is when he been drinking.Yea it is fun to hear BUT who cares what that fool has to say he has been proven a liar,fraud,and a joke.Last weekend him and WA1BHV made a lot of DX Spotting pages for interfeance with a station from Kosovo, a lot of the pages not only gave out their call but also name.

Well my husband is my husband. This is me. Is this how you greet returning members? Yes, I let my husband respond to this thread because we have both been listening to that circus on 14.275. I made sure he didn't post anything offensive and he made sure the act was NOT hidden.
Every post after that is me at the keyboard with my husband watching under his call. He can read, he just can't post. I can hear him laughing from the other room.

Yes Richard, my husband and I both agree what we hear on 14.275 is much worse than anything we have ever heard on channel 19. Karol is one thing but what surprised me the most are the so called technically inclined becoming children and playing right into his hands. As a female, I know men will do things in the background to get others to do all the dirty work. Karol has successfully shut this freqency down and he is but one man. Believe it or not, most of his speech is protected here but here's the clincher, he isn't in America. He's in canada. Outside of our country's jurisdiction. Sure, Canada can go after him but when is that likely to happen?
The hams jamming him are indeed violating FCC rules and regulations and are therefore subject to the FCC's wrath. So, Karol may be crazy but he sure has got a lot of people that are complete idiots doing his work for him. Destroying the 20 meter band.

I know there is a certain amount of anger between this guy and my husband but I have already identified myself to this man as his wife. I have not posted anything to hurt this man's feelings. Why is he so bent of having me banned and why his hatred towards me? Really, I would like to know. I have even asked him to stop going after me based on what my husband has done to him. Still he persists in acting like a school yard bully and has threatened to have me banned? Why?

Industry Canada is useless. Since the FCC agrees, they won't go after people jamming the little man from Saanich. It's just not very high on their priority list. I, for one, am glad that the little man stays on 14.275 and like the feces he is draws all the flies there to him so they stay off the rest of 20 meters. Kind of like the reason they hang a sausage at the back of the church at a Polish wedding.

2 years ago before no-code hams there used to be a bunch of drunk southern "Jack-Asses" would pick a fight with anyone who got close to "Their" frequency, or was stupid enough to talk to them. Blame it on former CB'ers if you want... Older hams ain't immune to stupid if the choose to be that way. It seems to be more about character than when you got your ticket. Any time a band gets crowded, someone's gonna be a jerk, eventually. :rolleyes:

Hi Laura, Let me start of by saying I am not familiar with what your husband is accused of saying or doing here on QRZ. His previous actions have no bearing on the way I will treat you.
Further more let me fill you in a little on some important information about QRZ.
#1 QRZ forms have very little to do with ham radio, It's not a non biased form, and double standards are very prolific.
#2 There is a very small group of hams on QRZ who get to say and attack anyone they want with impunity.
#3 QRZ is where a small group of insignificant hams hang out who feel the need to make ham radio look as petty and ridiculous as they possibly can.
My best advice to you is to place these trouble makers on your ignore list and avoid them. This will drastically reduce the number of posts you see but hopefully what is left will be more intelligent and actually have something to do with ham radio.

I couldn't agree with this more. There's several people in this thread who've that double standard allows them to act the way they do. But QRZ will look the other way....

Can't be worse than most of the tripe you'd find on Cable TV. Hey, at least I'm listening to the radio, not watching TV or posting on the internet like a lot of people complain about by doing so, eh?
Oh I know. I'm testing the receive capability of my antenna system. Thats it. I do that on occasion with CB channel 17, but usually after 5 minutes of testing I'm satisfied that its working correctly, I log my observation and wait till next month to run the test again :)

Well let me tell you; about 2 nights ago i was listening to an 80 meters net on 3730 mhz and gosh was that ugly!
Swearing and all!!! Everything included! And I had seen this on 20 meters and 2 meter repeaters as well!
Bad operating practice is everywhere. Including ham radio! Just because we have a ham license does not mean we are perfect. Even Superman is not perfect! (He gets sick when cryptonite is around)!
Anyone who whines and complain about c.b'ers should take a closer look to home.
(I met many polite courtous and decent people on c.b. as i have on ham radio)
If we accept this fact; then life becomes easier and we are less miserable!

What I have a problem with the Klown is whenever no one is on 275 and I hear someone calling CQ and I go back to them he comes on claiming he was there all along..... Funny I did not hear him for 20 mins untill I answerd a CQ.Also, He knows when DX is running a lot of eastren Eroupe stations will run between 270 to 275 Asia stations sometimes are heared there and he knows it. But him and Dave and the rest of his fools would rather play LIDS then let some one work the DX,pretty bad when DX Spotter pages not only gives the call of who was QRMing but names as well. I do not think Jerry actually broke any rules. But I most likely missed the activity that banned him.
I will tell you that I believe Jerry was negative toward amatuer interests. He said that people who liked to home brew were lying, and were actually just junk collectors. He was negative toward those who enjoyed CW. He admitted that he enjoyed generating anger.
I cannot say that I miss him, but I do wish the best for Jerry and his family.
He isn't "really" bad.

What I have a problem with the Klown is whenever no one is on 275 and I hear someone calling CQ and I go back to them he comes on claiming he was there all along..... o Amateur Radio has individual licensing; CB doesn't
o CB is exclusively channelization; amateurs make more flexibile use of
spectrum
o CB can use only specificially designated modes; Amateur Radio can use
virtually any mode
o CB has access to very limited spectrum; Amateur Radio has access to
segments from 1.8 MHz to literally light
o CB has a power limit if 12 W PEP; Amateur Radio has much higher power limits
I can hear the difference any time that I listen to CW signals, data signals, SSTV signals.
I can see the difference any time I look at technology such as repeaters, digipeaters, satellites and all of the other things that hams are doing.
I can hear the difference in the vast difference in the number of reasonable conversations about radio technology I hear on the two services.
Yes, there are a few ham QSOs and conduct that are not different than some of the worst of CB, but that is far from the norm, and if you can't see the differences between Amateur Radio and CB, you haven't look at it in an unbiased way.

12 years on the air from 46 of the lower 48 and Ive only heard the qrm a half a dozen times. Maybe I need to dedicate a beam towards him to understand what all the fuss is about? Maybe Im just not on at the right times? What a bunch of bravo sierra.

Boy, they sure have come a long way since then.

Yes I agree but I no longer visit that website. I have asked and asked him to remove any and everything pertaining to me from his web site, but he refuses. In fact, he became very nasty because I wouldn't share private emails with him that I had from others. I had to set up a blocker to automatically reject any emails from him. He told me that if I stopped saying bad things about him, he would remove the articles pertaining to me from his web site, but so far has NOT kept his word... No big surprise there.
I am getting along with just about everyone here. It seems Gerry is the only one that just can't let it go IMHO.

I met them a couple of years ago at Pomona when I was a guest of Fram there. VIP Suite and all... Pretty cool.
Allan Johnson has to be the Best tuner in Top Fuel today. Too bad he lost his brother Blaine. A real loss. Connie is more of a throw everything at it kind of guy and unfortunately, he smokes the tires because of it. I really like Dave Grubnic though. He is a very stand up guy.
Hillary Will isn't to bad but she is either Hot or Cold on the light!
