I got the following this morning by e-mail, one of those "forward to all your friends" messages:
Pelosi Wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income …
You aren’t going to believe this.
Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401Ks and Mutual Funds! Alas, it’s true – all to help the 12 million illegal immigrants and other unemployed minorities! … When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:
“We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as ‘Americans’.” … if you are RETIRED, or expect to be, it will affect you.
Here are two links that say it is the typical hoax that it sounds to be:
http://lighthousepatriotjournal.wordpress.com/2008/02/14/myth-blaster-nancy-pelosi-wants-windfall-tax/ (not exactly an extreme liberal or pro-Demorcat website)
Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/pelosi.asp) says it is taken from a parody that someone, who didn't get it, took seriously.

The dems have wanted to do this for years.
Then why haven't they already done it? They've had a majority in both houses for over a year.
OTOH, the Kons have saddled us with record spending and debt. How do they want America to pay their Communist Chinese friends off?

John, it's the normal pattern of behavior for the idiot neoKonservatives. Someone always has to step in and clean up the mess they made.
They're much the same as having a cage full of monkeys. They sling stuff in every direction, and someone else must clean it up.
Behold the decider-chimp-in-chief ... what a mess that moron will be leaving for the next guy.

One of the guys that "didn't get it".
What a huge surprise...

Failure heaped upon more failure and they want to scare everyone into voting for more fallacy and lies. It tells you one thing for sure they must be afraid that their policy of reigning by fear is coming to an end. :D

They haven't done it because right now it wouldn't look good for them. Things don't get done in Washington unless it can make them look good, or its nessacary to prevent revolt by the people.

Well if they go crazy with taxation they will get voted out. But before they get voted out they have a small chance of getting a few things done that could be worthwhile. I figure the NeoCon thing will eventually die off but it won't go away if they get to continue their policies via John McCain.
I am not all that worried about much with the Democrats. We have a half conservative Supreme court, so forget about them screwing with the 2nd amendment. Fear is what the NeoCons use against people one can succumb to it or go forward.

Remember the Supreme Court does not pass judgement on the constitutionality of a law until AFTER it is passed and someone who has been harmed by that law in one way or another has filed a suit, starting in the lower courts and working their way up.
It is hypothetically possible for a law to be passed and signed that would totally ban guns. Yet if that law were never enforced and thus no one is inconvenienced or harmed by that law and people continued to own guns, then the Supreme Court would not get a legitimate chance to rule on the law as no legitimate suit could be brought.

That's right and it would be unrealistic to believe any law(s) related to guns and gun rights would go unchallenged by at the least the NRA. So I don't worry about it and assume Congress would be aware of this too.

How can you be sure that it is "Neo"-con and what, specifically, makes up the "Neo"-con litmus test?
