This past weekend 160 was a zoo during the 160m contest.
However, I was able to work a station from Canada and that was fun.
People were wiping out the VP6DX group on 160m, to bad people couldn't leave their freq alone.

I got accused of that, right on the air, by some lid that didn't know what he was talking about.
There seems to be a certain amount of "DX police" running around the bands.
That VP6DX group was doing OK, if they don't win the contest, or be in the top 3, I'll be surprised.

I can't help it. I have to get my freq on!
Seriously, it is what it is. Those VP6DX folks I'm sure were more than happy to be in the contest, giving out QSOs left and right. It's what they're there for, and they're still giving out QSOs left and right after the contest is over!
I didn't play along this weekend, but I did listen for a bit. The band sounded full. I am a little more partial to the CW contests. It's less work and I like them better.

Chances are good that many couldn't hear them, and checking clusters isn't always allowed in a contest.
I played a little in the contest on Friday night, but with a really short bit of wire for an antenna, 160 quickly becomes an exercise in frustration.

Yea, well this type of stuff seems to happen on all the bands not just 160m.
I must say i was surprised by the number of people that were on 160 this past wekend.
