Sir, you are sadly and badly misinformed about Mr. Obama's history and upbringing. Further, you seem to continue to assume the veracity of the picture, in spite of being shown the distinct possibility that it may not be genuine.

Even if it is genuine, you are still making a host of assumptions about the picture for which you have no justification other than your personal belief tha Obama is some kind of closet Muslim. It is a picture, only an instant in time, for which we have no caption and no cited source and from which we thus cannot draw any significant inferences at all.

You are insightful and so far the only one to realize this. This site is entertaining and pushing peoples buttons is in itself fun but they don't realize they are being led. I don't care what people believe or think of me but I almost got them to the point on piling on which would be very interesting.

The problem however, is most people on this site think what they say here matters or gives them a feeling of self import. Sir, you are sadly and badly misinformed about Mr. Obama's history and upbringing. Further, you seem to continue to assume the veracity of the picture, in spite of being shown the distinct possibility that it may not be genuine.

Even if it is genuine, you are still making a host of assumptions about the picture for which you have no justification other than your personal belief tha Obama is some kind of closet Muslim. It is a picture, only an instant in time, for which we have no caption and no cited source and from which we thus cannot draw any significant inferences at all.

What would it matter either way? When you visit someone and wish to be diplomatic or honor them, you participate in their ceremonies in the appropriate garb for that ceremony. Standard political activity. It shouldn't matter if garb is Islamic or Somalian. It merely proves that Obama was following typical bureacratic protocol during his visit.

This should actually count in his favor as it shows some understanding of the day to day workings of diplomacy.
