I Feel Your Pain ! I Have One , I Figgered That If I Can Program My 706 , I Could Program The 2200h. I Finally Did Get It Programed And It Does A Good Job . The Speaker Is Pitiful , So I Use My Cans And Get By Allright. Hang In There And Good Luck . Arch' 73

I have one I picked up off eBay. The unit was used but works great. For a single band, solid rig it does the job.
As for programming, it does take a while to get the hang of it. Once you do it goes pretty smoothly.
The speaker wasn't an issue, I picked up a radio shack speaker and it provides a much better response than the built in.

I have nothing bad to say about it.
Nice radio, great mic for controlling the radio.
Never had any intermod problems.

Great radio. Is tough to program. Have trouble getting a set tone to stay on some freqs. But overall it is fine. Power cord is same as FT 7800 so it is easy to take out and run on base. Would by another one......

It's a great radio overall, but is anyone trying to run their rig with APRS? I'm having a devil of a time with the connections from TNC to Radio. Any suggestions on Radio settings or type of cable:confused:

Had one about one year ago. Nice radio. Tough, high power output, include reception of the aircraft AM band around 118 MHz (I used to live around city airport). Sensitive and selective.
The only complaint is just how to program it on the first time. Really need to read and completely understand the instruction manual.
Take it, you'll never regret. :D:D
