With all the posturing regarding who would make the best President, the following makes interesting reading. I didn't write it although I wish I had:

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it ws the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going directly to Heaven, we were all going the other way."

If you are inclined to argue any of the above or disagree with the perspective, it might behove you to find out to whom this quote is actually attributable

Ah yes my favorite author and one who's words of wisdom still ring true to today, I have cited his other works here before...

It is a far, far better thing that you do, than you have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that you will go to than you have ever known.

Awww jeez, try something that wasn't in a comic.

I'm pretty sure I saw a dog on his house with a typewriter starting that.:)

I don't think anyone that has read Dickens is stumped John. They're probably just shaking their heads and wondering why you always have a need to appear smug and superior.

OK - give me your best infantile 'poo' reply or are going to reach into your back pocket for the old "melt down" insult? Just like your quote from Dickens - nothing original from n2nh.

At least this is attributable to someone. Unlike that other neoKon troll post Mikey. Of course I am superior. I have a source. And it's truthful not an anonymous email sent to reinforce a false belief based on fallacy. Besides, I wasn't thinking Charles Dickens. I was thinking about my butcher Vito who always says that while swinging the butcher knife.

So, if you had Dickens you get the consolation prize. He may have said it, but that's not who I was thinking of. Oddly enough, that said, we are still giving more information than that troll did. Where are all those big-Bs Greg is always talking about? Why the seem to have up and disappeared! Just like all hope for a November win by the right.

Anybody want to guess a year? Betcha get it wrong!
*HAW!!*

Could have told you but that just spoils the fun watching you genuflect (do I need to provide a definition here?) every time someone threatens your ego.
I hate to stoop to your level as I know you have far more experience there...

BS or you would've. You just can't take someone making fun of that supposed post of yours.

You started your troll, then didn't have the nads to finish it. Grow some and come back when you start shaving again.

Excellent! keep them coming.

what's a "supposed post"? is that like an "almost" post?

I'll give you a hint - his first name is Dan and he presently writes talking points for the RNC although, at the time he wrote these comments, he had a different job. Your turn my friend.

Basically you still misapplied this silly quotation. It originally got passed around when the DNC started the body count tactic. It was originally intended to minimize that tactic and make light of the continuous body count posted everywhere, it doesn't work when trying to moralize a war based on fallacy and lies... :D
Basically I still think it was misattributed so unless you know the spammer then you like most of don't know the real source. :D
