Do you think Xerox will sue Mrs. Clinton for using their trademark?
I know some companies like RedHat are aggressive when people use their trademarks.
This is not a "I hate Hillary" thread, but I think politicians shouldn't be above the law.

I guess we will have to leave that up to Xerox's board of directors :D

Yeah. Board of directors. There is no law that forbids you from using trademarks. There are laws that allow those who have the trademark to go after those who have infringed. If the owner decides not to go to court or simply wants to settle, there are all options for Xerox.
There is no crime.

They probably like the free advertising.
Had she used it in a very negative way, such as "I xeroxed that guy" and really meant she killed a guy, they might scream.
But the way she used it they might tell her not to again, but probably didn't mind the free publicity. Its in every news story this morning :)

This is a non-starter.
Anyone can use a trademark in conversation, which is all this was. Nothing's been violated.
Apple, on the other hand, used iPhone for a new product launch when the registered trademark was actually held by Cisco.
That's different.:p

Yes, I have studied trademark law in college, and this was not a violation.
Trademarks are based upon "limiting confusion in the market place".
Hillary was not causing confusion in the marketplace, although when she becomes President, she will indeed cause chaos in the marketplace but that's an entirely different topic...

RedHat is a tough company. They demand excellence on every level. To work for Redhat you must be the best of the best and then some.
