What exactly did it take to get everything transferred? I know it'd take weeks, if not months to do it all by hand. Did vBulletin come with a script that would transfer everything from ikonboard?

BTW: Did ikonboard use MySQL too? I'm not familiar with it, so y'all might have to clue me in :)

Yes, there is a script that transfers and switches everything.
But, it does not always work right. Some things it will not convert. Like the ikonboard tags.

I not sure , its been a long time since I ran Ikonboard. I think it was in pearl.
