Looks like it may well come down to a woman vs. an old guy.
Even before that it looks like the party conventions will be even more boring than usual. Kind of a waste of money. If candidates are shoo-ins, why spend the money for a convention?

"Kicking Hard"? I wouldn't call 3% in Florida "kickin' hard." Instead I would call Paul's campaign in it's death throws. He does have plenty of money to give it a decent funeral and wake.

I long have given up hope that any one of the Paulistas would make an honest post. Opium eaters offer a better view of reality.

An important aspect of the convention that everyone overlooks is the process of hammering out a platform. A convention is for more than just selecting a candidate.
It is very interesting to read the platforms. Sometimes they are poorly written and sometimes well written. The 2004 platforms are a case in point.
Basically the 2004 platform from the Republican convention combined a mixture of stating what they had done in the previous few years and the path they intended to follow in the coming four years. The Democratic Party/Democratic candidate was mentioned once.
The 2004 platform from the Democratic convention was quite different. There were no statements of what the party had accomplished in the previous four years. There were no statements of the path they intended to follow if they won the presidency. Instead it was a series statements of what was wrong with the incumbent. President Bush was named over 40 times. It was filled with condemnations but no plans on what they would actually do differently.

And when the conventions comes around, he will be able to work the floor and hopefully convince the delegates between now and then that he is the only Republican who can win against the Dems.

Thats what I like about the Democrats, they are so consistant. Look at how they are already eating their own.

If that's the hardest he can kick, he'll never kick his way out of that paper bag.
