Nah I bet he will stick with no endorsement to anyone, however I bet he won't badmouth McCain as much.

An interesting question.
Limbaugh now has his ethics on the line. Having invested so much vitriol and ego into the contest against McCain, he must now measure his personal pique against the larger mission of which he has always bruited -- that of defeating the 'liberal wing' of the Democratic Party.
Let us now, just for the sheer delight, move our imaginations to Wednesday, February 6, and imagine une grande victoire for McCain, sweeping through the assembled hosts of delegates on those fields and capturing his laurel ball cap. This would virtually guarantee a McCain victory at the convention, one would guess.
Will His Vastness then swallow that over-sized dollop of pride and agree to support a McCain candidacy against either Hills or Obama? Or will His Rotundity utter a few tsks and pshaws and soldier on to fight for 'neo-conservative purity' (whatever that is) a la the Paulistas?
Let me know how it all turns out.
Confirms Rush has many LIB fans on the ZED.

It will be interesting because Ron Paul is an anti-neocon - at least on paper. Endorsing him would make The Bloviator look even more hypocritical.

Limbaugh may be obnoxious, but he is not stupid.

What else you going to listen to if you are only allowed to have a small discrete radio around...

Nah he isn't a total fool but he has painted himself into a corner. I would also wonder if McCain really wants his support, that could be a bad choice on McCain's part. I never really thought of McCain as very well thought out, he's just expedient to my mind.
Ah well only a short while to Super Tuesday looks like a bit of a shakeup coming.
So if it were McCain could there be a possible VP seat for Huckabee?

If McCain becomes the candidate, he will likely support him in lieu of the Democratic candidate but will continue to address McCain's stances that he disagrees with. Not a particularly difficult matter to foresee.

The Republican Party will close ranks behind either Romney or McCain when the times come. The bigger question is will Hillary tear a part the Democratic Party in her process to become the party’s nominee. The primary in South Carolina wasn't pretty and in fact a was fairly good example of slime ball politics.

Part of me regrets to see the kind of campaign that is materializing, but another part of me greets it as a necessary process of bringing highly divisive issues out into the open so they can be discussed and resolved. The Democratic Party has been moving left over the past forty years, and the pace of that change has been accelerating.
Times have changed, and political expectations have migrated with them. Were JFK around now, many current Democrats would castigate him as a "blue-dog" or worse. (And if you doubt that, do some research and look at his performance in Congress, in both House and Senate, and at his policies and programs after election to the Presidency.) Harry Truman likely would now be regarded as something close to Reagan. The "Grand Coalition" of the past was largely content to have some influence; now the various components demand far more and expect significant payoffs and real power.
It is not a new phenomenon to argue over "wings" and factions; remember, Will Rogers's famous line about not belonging to "an organized political party, I'm a Democrat" dates from the early years of FDR's administration. Debate is healthy when both sides of an issue are given a chance to be heard and tested, unlike the Joe Lieberman fiasco in CT.
The Clintons are gutter-fighters, and it will be a real test of Obama's ability to cling to a higher road once the mud (and other stuff) begins to fly. Count on Howard Dean NOT to stay neutral, but to try to stay hidden. There are lots and lots of IOUs out there with Billary written on them, and they will be called in as needed. Obama will get a quick education -- which is good for him if he is to be successful in the WH. If he cannot manage in the campaign, how will he fare against a thug like Putin or the Chinese or OBL and his bomb-vest set?
Race and gender will become ever more important, though both issues will be denied and decried hotly. Bill's ego will cause ever bigger problems as the campaign becomes meaner, and Hillary will risk significant loss of "image" if her campaign staff cannot manage to rein him in.
It will be fun to watch. Hopefully we all will survive the result.

Super Tuesday will sort things out for us, I hope. If Hillary gets clobbered, I hope she just withdraws, rather than stretch this out to the bitter end. If Obama gets plastered, likewise. Otherwise, they will tear the party apart.
If Obama picks up Edwards' supporters, he'll be hard to beat.
I don't think it does Hillary any good for us to keep hearing and seeing Bill out doing her campaigning for her. If she's got something to say, she needs to say it, not send Bill out as a sniper. If she gets elected, I suppose he will be 'co-president' for another term. I might have to just vote for McCain.

I love the fact that McCain has Rush down for a ten count. Do you think that Rush will move to Canada if McCain wins?

Totally possible I suppose it could prove embarrassing if he suddenly discovers he is not the King Maker he might believe he is :D
See I am one of his skeptical listeners not one of his hayseed listeners. It is just fun to announce what he spews and see how many others spew the same rubbish only they don't announce the source. :D
