Presidential candidate Ron Paul, R-Texas, is issuing a formal complaint against the Louisiana Republican Party for an alleged improper handling of the voting process for the Jan. 22 caucus.

Another Election Contested by Paul (http://www.lsureveille.com/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticlePrinterFriendly&uStory_id=f35bdb92-089d-42a9-a4c5-53f6faf9f036)

I have another aspect of this topic in mind, why the F are there still caucus's?, why do some states allow independents to vote in either primary.
On the issue of independents I think they should allow it but it would be nice if the rules were more uniform across all the states.
One more thing maybe we should just have one or maybe two primary days and stop all this silliness.
Well maybe I am wrong to think this but our primary elections get to look a bit ridiculous sometimes...

Some states, like here in Texas, everyone is an independent until they vote in a particular primary. At that time, if they vote in a particular primary and if there is a run-off (this often happens on local and county offices and occasionally on a state-wide office) they can only vote in the run-off of the party that they originally chose. If they did not vote in the original primary they can choose which run-off to vote.

Also, if someone signs a petition to get an independent or some smaller party (i.e. "Green Party") on the general election ballot they cannot vote in any party's primary. If they sign a petition and then vote in one of the actual primaries that person is subject to legal penalties.

New voter registration cards are issued every two years. There is a place on the voter registration card which is stamped by voting clerk with the primary in which the person voted. Also, if there is a run-off the list of registered voters has a notation printed by the person's name telling which primary that they voted.

I just got my new voter's registration card a few days ago and I have scanned it to show the place where the primary voting stamp goes. It is actually vertically along the middle of the card. To make it easier to see I enlarged this area and then rotated it.

Remember that you can enlarge the image by just "clicking" on the thumbnail.

IF you want to see a real travisty of what we think is a "free election" process just take a look at what our MEDIA has been doing and allowing to happen to ALAN KEYES efforts during this primary season!

You can see, hear, and read all about these underhanded tactics over on "alankeyes.com".. It is a sad state of affairs when someone fully qualified and registered with the FEC is denied even a mention during news or susposed discussion programing!

The only explaination for this action by our MEDIA is that Alan's message and positions scare the dickin's out of the power brokers and the "party insider's" that want to only continue their control of and raiding of our United States of America!

You deserve to KNOW what is truely offered in place of these worthless party hack's and thief's...

7DCR:

Using all of that obnoxious bold oversize merely showcases all of your spelling and grammatical errors. It yields but little difference between the fool on a Hyde Park corner shouting and another who is using a megaphone -- in simple truth, no one is listening to either.

Give it a rest.

David: I would gently suggest that you look in the closest mirror (if your courage permits it) in order to find out just who is obsessing in these threads. ;)
