Today is a very sad day for me. I accidently erased my computer logbook file. It had all my contacts for the last 2 months with over 2000 QSOs and about 75 different countries. I did manage to write out QSL cards for the rare countries I needed but there were others I wanted to QSL with but hadn't gotten around to yet. I just wanted to remind everyone to make backups of your computer logbooks so you can prevent this from happening to you. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Well I guess I better hit the airwaves again. Have lots of catching up to do.

You had 2000 qsos in two months?!?!?! WOW I've managed close to 300 in 3 months and thought I was doing good! Of course, I have to work so nights and weekends are the only times I have.

I just got discharged from the Army for medical reasons so I've had nothing but time the last few months. I would work the radio from early morning to late at night. It was great! Nothing but radio. Now that I've got my medical condition under control I'll have to head out to find a job. I think that's what bothers me the most about losing my logbook, is that it will take me years to make that many contacts again or work that many countries. Oh well... It was a hard way to learn a simple lesson.

Re lost logs....

If you accidentally deleted the logs you might be able to recover the logs. If you are using windows go to the trash bin and see if you have a recover option.

Failing that there are companies that recover important files from drives that have crashed. You may have to spend some small amout to recover the logs but it is an option.
