I had an item listed on the Ontario Swap Shop and was contacted by some guy who wanted my item.
He wanted to know what I was asking for the item, that price was clearly listed on the swap list.
Then he wanted to know how much shipped.
Then he said he would send a MO but the MO would be for more than I was asking for the item plus shipping and I could refund the rest via Western Union.
SCAMMER and I let him know so and he never replied

His info was posted on the Swap List and here is it so beware of this clown.

WARNING: guy named Joe John, email address jor.john@hotmail.com is a scammer

If you do this, the money order will be bogus, and you will be stuck.

Just in case there is someone here who doesn't understand why the money order/cashier's check scam works:

Just for info guys, I sell cars on craigslist in SF Bay Area on a regular basis and recieve about 100 of these emails a week. Personally, I have a generic reply I send to them, and about ten times I have recieved fake checks in the mail, that to a more bland person may seem real. They always come via UPS or FED EX. I never open them, and collect about 5 before I forward them to our county sheriffs fraud dept. No biggie really, this scam has been around for years. We actually caught some locals attempting it.

Looks like the atypical Nigerian thing again...just by the wording and poor sentence structure....
