until Tsunami Tuesday's over with.
and for the first time in my life, my state's primary will be before the nominations are decided.
At this point, it's a two way race between Clinton and Obama on the Democrats side, with Edwards trying hard to garner enough votes to play kingmaker at the convention.
The Republican race still has FL before Tsunami Tuesday, and most pundits think it'll play a pivotal roll. Still, it seems like the Reps are really down to a two way race between McCain and Romney. Giuliani's insane strategy is finally going to be shown up for a failure in FL, it looks like; and Huckabee's devastating loss to McCain in SC means anything short of an unexpected dramatic win in FL ends his chances practically.
So what do y'all think? Giuliani or Huckabee going to salavage their campaigns in FL? Are the pundits right and a McCain win in FL will catapult him over Romney on Tsunami Tuesday? Will Obama carry his momentum from today into Tsunami Tuesday and take a commanding lead over Clinton?
Or will Romney fight off McCain and still have a viable campaign and Clinton and Obama remain locked in a heated contest?
10 days will tell.

Not that voting would mean anything in Florida since both parties got their panties in a bunch and took away delegates. At least the GOP didn't take all of them away.
Isn't it funny that Hillary was all for solidarity with the party regarding punishing Michigan and Florida, UNTIL she figured out that it would cost her the state. NOW, she wants to give the delegates back to Florida.
But if it benefited Obama, she would still be parroting the party line.
Not that ANY candidate running thrills me. They're either a bunch of political hacks or so insane as to be dangerous. Some choice we have.

McCain & Obama.
I think Giuliani's "strategy" of not campaigning in the early races, is costing him, and Huckabee is starting to fade. Romney? Too much of a flip-flopper to the educated electorate.
Obama, simply because he is more likable than Hillary. They're pretty much cut from the same cloth.
I would not count Huckabee out just yet. It was not a devestating defeat in SC as you suggest- he lost by 3%. Florida and super Tuesday can still get him the delegates he needs.
Rudy is finished. His obvious lack of respect for the smaller states will be his undoing.
As for the Democrats, I expect to see Hillary cry a few more times as well as play the race/sex cards against Obama. The Dems better be careful though with Obama. If he has some skeletons in his closet, they could come out to bite him during the campaign. Bush's DUI conviction hurt him more than expected during the election, Obama may have similar such things lurking in his past.
I think the Republicans are going to get what they wanted...a black Democratic nominee.
The problem for them is, Obama isn't Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. The Republicans won't be able to throw the same spaghetti at Obama, that they could against the other two.
The juvenile Obama/Osama stuff won't resonate either. They won't have the Clintons to run against if Obama makes it either. They'll just have to rely on the perceived racism (relax, MW and PEQ-note the word "perceived") of white Americans (especially Southern) to not vote for a black candidate.
I think Bill Clinton did blow it by equating Obama's win in SC to Jackson's wins in SC in 84 and 88. Obama is not your stereotypical black candidate and I think he has appeal across the board. The Clintons did inject race into the equation and I'm not happy about it.
I'm still undecided about my vote in the California primary. My first choice was Richardson and he's out. My next choice is Edwards. I'm just not sure he's viable at this point. Obama gets my vote over Clinton, and not for the stupid talk radio reasons stated here and elsewhere.
My goal is a real change away from the screwed up policies of the Bush adminstration. The Republicans have offered nothing to show a change of course. Obama, with no baggage, might just be the one to offer real change.

I think the last thing Dave or anyone else of sound mind and body would want would be an accolade from you for straight thinking. He is probably going back and re-reading his post to see where he screwed up.
Oh please MIV, please enlighten us as to what Democrat you are voting for at this point?

I have tried to enlighten you in the past, Willy Boy, and the job proved to require more than I am capable of giving. I shall vote Obama, Willy Boy, and devil take the hindmost. You can have Shrillary. She is more your type than mine.

We have the biggest devaluation of the US Dollar staring us right in the face...thanks to our NON friends over in Saudi and China...Can anyone spell recession or depression?
Our "old friend and enemy" over in N. Asia, Russia et al is all set to come out of their closet swinging BIG HAMMERS that they just happen to still have, thanks to our economic help for the past 15+ years!
There is this BIG BAND of CUT THROATS called ISLAMists that really want to see us ALL DEAD or CONVERTED....O' and there is NO conversion allowed if your are a Jew! They have been at this quest since 730 AD or so and just don't like ANYONE that is not of their cut/liking/belief, they do NOT make good neighbors and are AUTHORIZED to LIE and CHEAT if it is seen as a way to further their cause of WORLD DOMINATION!
ALL of our present day "Leaders" have done nothing about solving any of these or other problems...they only worry about getting reelected again and again! Crips, we can't even go to war on some rag-tag bunch without getting politics involved so deep that our military is hog-tied and demeaned beyond belief.. Go figure, it's all been planned out anyway.
IF you really want to make some of these ill's go away...go look at Alan Keyes website: alankeyes.com and then think about all these other's running thanks to the Media! He plans to START with getting rid of the IRS!
I, for one, will not lay down and let anyone from the UN or the EU tell me what I can and can't do in my own Country...unless, of course, it get's murged with Mexico, comprende'?...
