Some of you who claim he’s your candidate need to ask yourself why you feel this way? Is because he makes you feel good, because he’s really positive or because he wrote a good book? These are poor reasons to bet the country on someone because he’s different. That fact is he is an unknown commodity with little experience in government, military and business. What this means is he has no executive experience and therefore we have no way of knowing how he will run the government. He speaks well and is somewhat charismatic, but that means absolutely nothing to me and should mean nothing to you if you understand government. Because he is inexperienced and unknown, would you want someone in White House influencing national security, the tax structure and government spending? The other candidates with the exception of John Edwards have known track records and the ability to field a decent executive team to undertake the rigors of running government including writing laws, developing budgets, dealing with emergencies. Obama has no business being in the White House at this point in time. He needs to do something more than US Senator work and writing a book that makes you feel special. Go be a mayor of a large city or governor of a state and let's see how you deal with the day to day problems of budgets, laws, riots and rolling power blackouts. Then we'll know if you can get something done.

I'm supporting Obama because I like his ideas, I think has done well and will continue to do well, and has the potential to continue doing well in the Whitehouse.

I didn't look at the candidates and randomly select one, I picked Obama because I like his ideas, I like his thinking, I like where he is ready to take the country.

I'm not supporting him just because he is a Democrat, I'm supporting him because he is ready to lead the country in the new direction, and I support that direction he wants to lead us.

I don't think that is true. I know many conservatives, myself included, who could possibly support Obama.

Obama would draw a certain percentage of the usual Republican voters, something that Hillary can not do.

As I see it, if Obama is nominated, he will likely beat any republican nominee (unless something new is revealed about him).

Hillary will have a hard time against either McCain or Romney. Hillary is a polarizing personality. People from both parties dislike her.

Obama has less to dislike, is relatively new, represents change and youth, and is generally more tolerable to conservatives.

If Obama can survive the Clinton muck machine, he will likely be nominated and win in November.

Which I see as the result of a PR campaign more so than a simple case of like or dislike.

As a person/politician Hillary is no more corrupt or guilty of lying than any of her power hungry competitors. It's doubtfull she could be any worst than the present administration. She has mustered the same corporate support as most mainstream political candidates meaning she has the stamp of approval of the corporate crowd. There is nothing to like/dislike about her and more/less than any of the other prime time players. She is certainly no Kuchinich, Paul, Nader, etc. who talk of invoking real change. These latter players are unpopular as they don't get the nod of approval from the underlying corporate power structure that guides the political landscape of much of America and much of the world.

Handled the missile crisis? -- is there a gas leak in here? The term "group think" was a key component of the Cuban Bay of Pigs fiasco. The Cuban missile crisis shouldn’t ever have occurred if Kennedy had just stood up to the Russian Premier early on -- forcefully. Both screw ups are now a classic government study cases in "how to not handle a crisis" and “communicating with force and clarity”. As I said before, Obama does not have the experience to lead and he will get us into bad situations by coming off as inexperienced nice guy who speaks well – sort like John Kennedy did.
