Real conservatives have always supported low taxes and low spending.
But today, too many politicians and lobbyists are spending America into ruin. We are nine trillion dollars in debt as a nation. Our mounting government debt endangers the financial future of our children and grandchildren. If we don’t cut spending now, higher taxes and economic disaster will be in their future — and yours.
In addition, the Federal Reserve, our central bank, fosters runaway debt by increasing the money supply — making each dollar in your pocket worth less. The Fed is a private bank run by unelected officials who are not required to be open or accountable to “we the people.”
Worse, our economy and our very independence as a nation is increasingly in the hands of foreign governments such as China and Saudi Arabia, because their central banks also finance our runaway spending.
What other candidates running for the office is talking about issues? REAL issues that needs solutions, like boarder control, it should have never been a Issue, if there ever was justice in Executive orders, it would be to secure our boarders, I want candidates that deal with REAL ISSUES, yeah Ron Paul does, but is he going to get elected? We shall see.

Why is it you idiots can't forget 2 hours of sexual misadventure but can't remember 8 years of prosperity and progress? All you can think about is your stupid labels - conservative or liberal. Once a conservative, always a conservative. My GOP, right or wrong. Get real. Millions of people lost tons of money (even rich b******s in the stock market as soon as GWB was elected - even before he was inaugerated - but a few made up for the ones that lost. Now, just as the market comes back up - BANG - let's kill it again so GWB can promote ANOTHER stupid tax rebate. And you think this is just peachy.
Get a LIFE and get your heads out of your conservative a***s!

You say it like being Libertarian is a bad thing?

Really? So, something that happened over a decade ago that YOU think is wrong and that's worth beating to death? But when Paul puts out racist newsletters in his name at about the same time, that's okay?
Very convincing.
It's about what's RIGHT and what's WRONG.

I remember it very well.
The so called economic prosperity you cite wasn't eight years it was two.
Those two years were driven by what Alan Greenspan at the time called "irrational exuberence" in the stock market. Companies selling at 200 to 500 times earnings. Ever heard of the ".com bubble"? When the inevitable bubble bursting came there was a recession, which started on the child molesters watch. Funny how that gets left out when people talk about those oh so prosperous Klinton years. The only thing that kept the economy out of a deep recession were the Bush Tax cuts. They need to be permanent by the way.
Same thing is happening this time.
Real estate prices have been ridiculous for years.
Stupid people buying way more house than they can afford just to keep up with the "Jones", and justifying said purchase with the same kind of creative math that would have sent Ken Lay of Enron to prison if he'd lived.
...which started on the child molesters watch. Funny how that gets left out when people talk about those oh so prosperous Klinton years.
I guess we'll just remember the last two terms as the child killers watch then?
You really should shut off the AM radio Herr ZedHead. And get the 12 step program for trollers too. :p:D

Why are you people so Anti Paul?
He has MILLIONS backing him and gaining more.
Because most of you are democrats I suppose.
So I guess you like unsecured boarders, giving amnesty to illegal aliens, going to war and the federal govt meddling in states affairs?
He's the only one in congress that voted AGAINST them getting a pay raise!
I don't think he could do worse than billary or bush.

So, please join the shrinking five percenters and vote for the Lilliputian. Like all other birds of a feather, losers flock together.

Do any of the other candidates have a doctorate or been in military with honorable discharges besides McCain?
I am beginning to think all hams are democrats. Shame on you! :D

And people like you are locked in to a frame of mind that there are only 2 parties to vote for.
You calling me a loser?
Gee, I thought you had a little more etiquette than that.
So, if you are so conservative and business oriented how is it the economy tanks every 6-7th year of a Republican presidency? Sometimes faster.
Is it because you guys are so good with budgets and careful spending and foreign policy and other conservative things like that?
I am thinking it doesn't really matter what conservatives want at this point.

The more I see of the real world, And how this once great country is headed, The more I support the Libertarian Party, Which I once considered kind of radical.
http://www.lp.org/issues/platform_all.shtml
VOTE FOR RON PAUL- The only chance this country has!
Ron Paul isn't viable. Conservatives won't back McCain. Hillery's lack of values and continual flip-flopping with poll winds, as well as Barack's lack of experience, history, and nonviable ideas (he's no Kennedy) will lose the Dem's the election. Right now, it's Romney's to win or lose...

I'd wait until Wednesday before I ruled McCain out.
I think either Clinton or Obama will beat any of the likely Republican candidates, simply because of the upcoming backlash against Bush.

From the original post, there is this question left hanging...no one has seen fit to just answer it with truth:

Everyone needs to go over to ALAN KEYES website: alankeyes.com and read his "historic" position papers, dating back into the 1990's...not just gin'ed up for this election, but taken after much thought and understanding of the issues. Just for starters: Alan says we need a REAL BOARDER FORCE to secure our Boarders and then ALL Illegal's are to be deported without delay! AND, he wants to shut-down the IRS! He also knows what a den of thieve's that UN is and says we should get a fair deal or get out of it...ARE THOSE STATEMENTS PLAIN ENOUGH for you to understand?
You say it like being Libertarian is a bad thing?
Libertarians tend to favor human liberty. Of course he hates them.

Is that you, Bonnie?
I think I recognize the screaming.
Ron Paul may share some issues with Conservatives, he is not a Conservative, he is a Libertarian, and you true Ronnettes know he ran for President as a Libertarian.
If he were a true Conservative people like Rush, and other prominent Conservatives, would be praising him, that is not the case. In fact, among many Conservatives, he is a joke.

Ron Paul may share some issues with Conservatives, he is not a Conservative, he is a Libertarian, and you true Ronnettes know he ran for President as a Libertarian. Ron Paul is running on a traditional Republican platform and on a platform of Constitutional Conservatism. Although the two share many ideas, that does NOT = libertarianism.
