Is Jonny Greenwood a Ham?

When I google Popcorn Superhet Reciever, I expect to get...

...but, Instead I get a dozen hits for a such named classical piece that Greenwood wrote in 2005. An explanation for the title is that is was taken from a "shortwave radio catalog". I can find no such catalog. Is he simply explaining away the fact that he is a radio homebrewer (and perhaps a ham) at heart?

I guess it's a matter of whether the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/16/arts/music/16word.html?ref=music) can be believed as to the tune's title origin.

Yes I read that, could find no such evidence of any catalog, even queried a few G/M friends... they think he's probably a ham too.
