The Farnsworth Invention (http://www.farnsworthonbroadway.com/showtimesTickets.html)
It's about the development of television. It looks like a must see for me. Just saw a spot for it on TV.

"The Farnsworth Invention". #Sounds great. #Perhaps RCA will underwrite some other troupe to perform "The Zworykin Invention" in a theater directly across the street. #
It'd be just like the 1930's again with RCA's head TV developer Vladimir Zworykin challenging Philo Farnsworth's independent patents. #The two theaters could file competing lawsuits and atempt to try them in the press.
Is it art? #Is it real life? #Who knows?
Perhaps the audience will become bored with it all (no shoot-em-up scenes) and, as a diversion, discover a better way to learn Morse code by having the letters sent at faster speed than the WPM rate. #But what might they name this newfound method?

Well, if there's a chick-flick starring ham radio, Making Waves, it's not too big a stretch to have this play.
I find both to be extremely interesting developments in the entertainment business.

For those of us who are or were in the 'business', it's a terrific play. However, reading about it in history books is far more revealing and educational.
If you want to be 'entertained' I say to see it!

Having read a detailed biography of Philo T. Farnsworth many years ago, I appreciate his often forgotten importance and I am glad to see that he will be given some attention by this Broadway play.
Now I hope that they will make a Broadway play about the life and death of Armstrong.
There was a TV movie about him long ago.
There also should be a play and movie about Forest Mimms.

My first thought was that this was a Futurama parody or something - heh heh heh

Children should all be taught about Farnsworth in the future. They should learn how television once went down the tubes before it was flat.
w2ilp (Invented LCD Pixels?) Were they invented in Japan? I dunno for sure.

Yes, they were invented in Japan, but are made in China.
