Other than South Africa, I haven't heard many African stations outside of contests.

C5DXC Noz from The Gambia is quite active, although I haven't heard him for a while. 7X4AN Mohamed from Algeria is about quite often. C91R, Rod in Mozambique is about quite often too, he posted ZD7X on the dx cluster at 1520 today on 21mhz. I can't think of any others off the top of my head that I've heard outside of contests as you say Ryan.

9J2BO, Brian in Lusaka, Zambia is on quite a bit. 3B8CF and 5R8GZ are on many nights, also. These last two are in the Indian Ocean but I think they are considered to be in Africa.
