Does anyone have any info on Jim KE8EDS? I was going to make a trade with him, but he doesn't seem to return emails anymore. His callsign (KE8EDS) is not valid on QRZ. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about him.

KE8EDS is not a currently issued callsign, according to the FCC.

Hi Charles. A first name and questionable call sign to me means, unless this 'trade' is in person where you can touch it, hold it, shake it, sniff it, taste it, and work it, do the 180 and walk away. My 2 cents

Since Google does not know him, he must not exist---

Yeah I don't know about this guy. It's a long story, but he was supposed to come over to make a trade. He seemed a little odd too in his emails, but lets not go into that... I don't want to start anything...

So he "assigned" himself a nonexistant callsign?? That's enough information for me to not even want to associate with him, much less work a trade.. The epitomy of nobrainers..

I asked him if his call was correct (KE8EDS), and he never emailed me back... His email address consisted of the callsign ke8eds. Oh well I guess I'll never know...

Well, I now know that his callsign "KE8EDS" was never valid. He was never a ham! My friend, thats NOT a ham, emailed him asking why he says his callsign is KE8EDS... He said "I am not a ham either but I use this call (KE8EDS) on FRS and on MURS frequencies
to make it sound professional.

Well there you go... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif I'm happy I did not do business with this guy. He goes by the name of Jim Brooke just to let everyone know.
