You're problem isn't getting on the net, it's firefox if IE works.
Try uninstalling firefox, reboot, re-download the newest version and re-install it.

Essentially, to reboot, just shut your computer down completely and then turn it back on. I hope that's what you were asking.

When you re-boot, you have to kick it a little harder than usual... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Really, does FireFox give a "details" tab or some explanation as to the problem? It might help us understand what the problem is with FF. (BTW, which version of FF?)

Hi Alan-
Seems to me there was a thread about this on Slashdot or somewhere a few weeks back, and Mozilla came out with a fix.
I think (but certainly don't KNOW) that sending a bug report would be OK. Assume you took the earlier advice and really uninstalled FF and really got the latest version.. Also what Operating system?
My Wife had that problem and fixed it as descrribed above. I use Linux hr and never had the problem, es use WinSux in the Shack, and never had the problem, but there were tow Major revs to FF within a few days, if that gives you a clue. I'm not a geek, so take this with a big lump of salt.
Are there any log files you can look at? I only know enough about Windows to swear at it! Really.

It seems to be working now.
don't know why.
So much easier to use ff then ie, i can't find the controls
like refresh in ie ect scince the up date a year or two back.
ie had spell check and would correct mistakes which is handy.
ff just underlines mistakes, unless i haven't explored it properly.

There was a bug as I recall in version 2.00.10 which was fixed very quickly in 2.00.11. Not sure if that was causing the problem.

Yup. Lots of people were having the issue--the .11 version fixed the problem.

Well you would think if i re-insalled 3 days ago that i would have the latest version of ff.
It played up agn today so im back on ie
IT Keeped on freezing and the error message keeped poping up
I deleted a heap of games out of the system thinking it was over loaded but that made no difference.
So its definetly ff because i'm having no problems with ie.
