The one who has been called a fag against the Mormon moron.
Accept it America, there's nothing you can do about it.

As long as it's not Rudy, even though I don't like Mitt.

Edwards? I think that is a real long shot. Mitt I can see. But I think the tide is turning towards McCain. What scenario puts Edwards in there? Safe choice?

McCain? The guy who sings Bomb Iran (to the Beach Boys "Barbara Ann" tune) and jokes about war? Yeah real class there.

Mitt will NOT win the GOP primaries.
Christians won't vote for him, and he won't carry the South.

I sure hope not, it might come down to the swimsuit competition. Edwards doesn't stand a chance if Mitt can get Coulter to give him some tips on hiding his....stuff.

I believe there is merit in this. The issue at contention is to see if McCain can last, if his money holds out. He may now have reason to regret his foolish legislation about campaign funding.
Shorn of the hype (which, of course, is the stock-in-trade of QRZ forums) McCain scores lowly on individual "Republican" points, but carries what may be the highest overall average. From that perspective, he is a "generalist" whereas the other boobs are one-note organ grinders. Ovrall, McCain brings a formidable array of strengths, but they will take time to show boldly against Romney (a pretty face) and Giuliani (a strutting rooster). What he has yet to demonstrate is that "fire in his belly" in the quest for the office. The run through the primary season up to the convention, however, may be more than his campaign can endure.

A two-bit trial lawyer, a hack of the worst sort, he is pretty on the surface, but generally lacking in every major "presidential" quality, chief of which is the aura of leadership. The Dems might see him as a "Southern" card to pick for VP, but I don't think that old dog will hunt nowadays. The South has become far more sophisticated than those halcyon days of LBJ tossing empty beer cans from his caddy convertible and snatching beagle pups up by their ears.
NYC Mayor and billionaire, Bloomberg, watch him carefully. He's planning something possibly a 3rd party spoiler.

I would like to see Bloomberg and Paul run as third-party candidates. It would be a very interesting race to say the least.

The conservative Christians in the South would either sit out or vote for Ron Paul (3rd party) in that case.
The Dems would win.

As far as most Ron Paul supporters are concerned, there is zeor different between Democrats and Republicans anymore. Both want to increase spending, both want to increase the size and scope of the federal government, both want to raise taxes, both want more handouts etc...

You apparently don’t understand republican politics. With Obama failing to close the sale and McCain surging, independents will vote in large numbers in the republican primary which only reinforce the likelihood of a McCain blowout on January 8th. Following this comes the larger states with large numbers of conservatives deciding who their candidate will be and John McCain and Ron Paul aren’t the ones.

There is no such thing as the universal conservative in the GOP.

As I said above, I believe McCain has an excellent chance if he can stay in the race through the primaries. All of the Republikons have warts, but I am of the view that McCain's warts will look better and better as those of the current leaders grow with exposure.
Though I am a Democrat (definitely Blue Dog), I could vote for a McCain/Lieberman ticket (though both are gun-control freaks) with less pain than just about any other ticket that I can foresee on my own side of the aisle. That ain't sayin' much, I know.
Among the Dems running at present, only Biden strikes me as the pick of that litter, though I have many problems with him on issues ranging a wide gamut from gun control to abortion. I see no one I would put with him on a ticket. Maybe Richardson. They are all just too damned far to the left for me.

I am not a Democrat, but I would vote for Biden. He seems to be a solid mid-Atlantic moderate.

Who says Christians won't vote for him? You are making an assumption. We need someone with a chance to win the general election and he might be the one.
