Did anyone catch Bruce using the ADI radio tuned to 144.330 to talk to dispatch?

Actually, the first time I saw the movie was on Christmas, when I got the DVD. #I did notice the unusual frequencies, of course, but I wasn't paying any attention to the rigs themselves, who made 'em, etc.

Random thought... Someone should tell Bruce that he can't have W1LIS for a vanity - it's already taken. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Yep it was in the last batch the kid rented along with ‘Stardust‘.’ I liked it well enough that I will probably buy it when it hit’s the $5.oo bin at wal-mart, if for no other reason than then I will have the whole ‘Die hard’ collection on DVD.

Nice plot twist but really predictable. Looking at the rigs and frequencies has become a pass time for me. I really should get out more I guess.

I’ve never heard of a CB frequency of 66.6 but then,…

There were some spots that I got a real charge out of tho like after the hover jet shot the truck to bits and collapsed the bridge then went off to crash itself and John comes out of the tumbling rubble and goes “sheewff!!”

It’s the little things like that that make the movie for me.

I really like the hand held rigs they had in the first movie, able to work on any frequency and full duplex. A lot like a cell phone but more frequency flexible.

Bruce Willis is the MAN!!!! Wow, can he take it! He makes Rambo look like Pee wee Herman!!! Can't wait till the next Bruce Willis movie to come out. LF&DH has some absolutely Spectacular action sequences in it, especially the part about the jet. I am just blown away by it! Indeed one the best movies of the year that won't get so much as a wink from the Academy Awards. They want shows like Brokeback Mountain!

I watched it. It was NOT as good as the first diehard, not even close.

I wouldn't pay good money to see it and I won't bother watching it again. Bits of it were decent but the plot was weak and, as is typical with movies of this genre, the technology BS was over the top and that took a lot of the fun out of it for me.

The 144.330 was just one aspect of the BS. As has already been mentioned the 66.6 Mhz CB frequency was another. The silly notion that every aspect of any network can be hacked in a matter of minutes or seconds had my eyes rolling. For example the bad guys take control of webcam in a hacker's house in a matter of seconds initiating a two way video call between the good guys and the bad guys. A few seconds later the bad guys take control of a video camera in an elevator somewhere across town. For the most part, very little of the tech in the movie was believable to anyone with a reasonable tech background. That made the movie silly to me.

I give the movie a 5 out of 10. That's because I need at least 3 points to rate really bad movies and the action shots score 1 point and Bruce Willis' campy lines another.

I found the 66.6Mhz (what band is that?) scene in the semi more interesting as it was "WFM" mode (who uses WFM for comms?) on a Uniden TrunkTracker with no mic attached (it's not a transmitter anyway) then he goes and pics up the Icom mic! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Campy, plotting doesn't measure up to the others, ridiculous technological conveniences and coincidences will have nerds [and anyone who works for any public utility] groaning in disbelief, villains don't quite induce the same sense of fear as, say, Hans Gruber or Col. Stewart.

It is the "Star Trek V" of the Die Hard series. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Too many impossible things. I dont care about the frequency stuff. But when they supposedly "hack" into the "gas company" and divert gas into the "electric company" and blow it up, that was just poor, stupid writing.

Best line in the movie: "It's not a command center, it's a basement!"
