I don't hear of any stupid new gadget that people are willing to stand in the rain, overnight so they can buy the lattest and greatest game console and put on evil bay.

I don't hear of anyone getting killed over a tickle me elmo.

I don't hear of any evil corporation threatening to fire 10,000 workers before Christmas.

I don't even hear of any big retailer attempting to BAN the bell ringers with their donation pots.

There is ALREADY snow on the ground this year!

We still have the "happy holidays" where Troops abroad say merry christmas to their family, just like in 1991.

Christmas displays still have not been banned by HOA's

We still get to enjoy the days off from work and still are able to travel, even with the high price of fuels to meet family and freinds.

Maybe you're not looking hard enough.
The weather is the big story this year. This past week we were getting 80 degree weather while most of the rest of the nation got blitzed!

Don't count your blessings, yet--we still have ten days to go!

Seems to me its no different than any other Christmas season. the roads are packed with cars all going in the same direction. The roads are blocked with drivers waiting while trying to find somewhere to park. There are still people who keep walking into you while they're gawping somewhere else and the TV reporters are telling us that the retailers are forecasting the worst sales since 1990 like they did last year, and the year before, and the year before that. The British consumer has, so it is said, by somebody, that we all have £33,000 of debts. Not me though, I don't owe nobody nuthin'.

Well if there is a War on Christmas I think Christmas is winning Hands Down. I have not heard of the ACLU or any one else Female Dogging about a Xmas display this year. The Decorations in stores have been up since Halloween. Lights on homes are on and more are lighting up every day. The airwaves are filled with Christmas music in Malls, Churches, on the street in business sections of towns, on the radio, and yes beleave it or not, Christmas music being played in the Casinos of Atlantic City. Except for some tragic shootings and the Pass the Ammo thread I have not heard negative things this Christmas Season so far (Knock on Wood).

Merry Christmas to all de Rick KC2ESD

To JIQ and Mr. Punisher,
I believe all the anti-Christmas stories have been played out over the past few years as many of us would have just thought, "not this s#!% again" and ignored it and went about with our daily lives.
Seeing as how there is a major election coming up in less than a year, the talking heads have other things on their agenda.
