If you haven't gave 30 meters a look at for PSK or other digital modes then you are missing out on a great band with some nice digital ops (ragchew to DX). In the USA 30 meters is our only low power, digital only, no contest band so why not use it....has unique propagation with the best of both 20 meter and 40 meters, lower noise level then 40 meters...shorter antennas than 40 too. Use the 30 Meter SPOT page for skeds or for current active activity.

dj5sq Ivo,

There have been some JT65a spots but they are few and far between. There are many that are trying JT65a most anytime of the day on 30m 10.139 as I can hear the tones most anytime on the band (some trying for the first time). The new 30 Meter Digital SPOT page has 'auto' spotters that pickup the most popular digital mode used...which at this time is BPSK31. I think if you post you would like a sked on JT65a you might get some replies to your request. Our 'Polls' indicate from 30m digital ops that the most used digital mode is 1) PSK31 2) RTTY 3)CW ...etc go here to see where JT65a fits in or vote:

Thanks for the reply

I'm going to head over to 30 right now, as I only tried it once and nothing to speak of. There's another thread mentioning the upcoming 30 meter digital weekend on the 19-20th. Hope that will raise awareness of the band.
What times of day are best for propagation on 30?
