I barely knew Tim. He and his lovely wife, Dee, drove to Dallas from Monroe, Louisianna in mid-August to pick up a rig that he wanted. Our meeting was all too brief, but in that time I had the priveledge of being acquainted with a creature that exuded kindness, knowledge and compassion. We communicated after that time pretty regularly. He was moving from qrp cw ops into the world that the TS-530S offered, and was ecstatic with that, and the new horizons, including psk-31.
I'd not heard from him in abt 2 weeks, and was wondering how things were going. Today I received an e-mail from Dee with the word that Tim was SK.
Now I know that N5FCZ was also the Rev. Dr. Timothy G. Nance, and I am finding that my feelings from our meeting and subsequent communications were pretty well founded. He was very devoted to his, and His, work, and a pillar in his religious community and endeavors. He will be missed, I'm sure.
My deepest condolences to all,
