Cycle 23 (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap071203.html).

I'm guessing 2007 is right in the middle. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Edit: Thanks to a couple of posters for the correct URL to the December 3rd pic and not the daily changing pic. Oops! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Seeing that image makes me kick myself even harder for chasing that girl over 18 months of 2001 and 2002. I could have been working the monstah DX.

S'ok, as the new (and permanent) YL is fully aware of the upcoming solar cycle and the impending "No, it's REALLY hot tonight, I'll be in bed soon" discussions.

Beautiful and monumental image series.

Yeah, it's that totally dark spot between 1996 & 2006. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

The pic at the link posted in the lead message changes daily - today (4 Dec 2007) it's an analemma (google it!).

I think you want this one (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap071203.html) (from the archives).

That is cool! Most illustrations of an analemma are the shadow patterns of a sundial gnomon at a particular location. Interesting to see the cause as opposed to the effect.
