Last night I tuned my 3 elements tri band yagi which covers, 10,15 and 20 meters to wrok on 30 meters, I managed to make 3 cw contacts, this evening an hour half an hour back, I did this again and manged to make 5 contacts but this time with very good reports from both sides, 599/599, does this mean my tri band yagi is working ok on 30 meter having been tuned with a manual tunner ?

It means that the antenna is radiating some of the applied power but a lot of it is being dissipated as heat in the tuner itself.
What brand tribander do you have? A number of manufacturers offer a 30 and/or 40M add-on kit for their antennas. If one is available, you might consider getting such a kit for yours.
If that tri-bander has traps…you could damage one.

Yes this A3S tri band antenna do have trapes on each elements, I do not send a lot of power, just running 100 watt per foot, power wise that what the traps is designed to handle unless of course the SWR even when its tuned down would creative as a result massive heat and this will cause the traps to damage.

I just need a little bit of time to install the DX-B signle wire sloper dipole, this will cover the 30 meters for me, I just tried to test the possiblities of making few contacts on 30 using the tri bander A3S, now I been told that this could damage the traps, of course I will not do it again.
It is very hard for me to bring down the antenna again and again and lefting them up.
Thank you my friend and 73
