Magellan Strait and Cape Horn

Dear friends:

Tomorrow (Sunday 2 Dec), I along with my crew will depart from Port Montt, Chile, toward Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will be sailing for approximately 12 days and along this route, we will be traveling past the Magellan Strait and very close to Cape Horn.

Truly, for many, ham radio activity from this southern sector has always been very important, although in my case we will be maritime mobile. This is why I come to you, in case you'd like to contact me on the following frequencies:

No. No tengo ni enferma ni miedo. Pero tengo mas anos y suenos que dinero. Me gustara viajar de Buenos Aires a Valparaiso por mar. Mis suenos dicen que si! Mi esposa y mi dinero dicen que no. No obstante--en algun dia, quizas.

Y dispues mas que 50 años cuando estudié Español en colegio, todavia puedo leer perfectamente. Tal vez yo pagué atencion.

En mi caso, hace unos 35 anos desde lo estudie. Pero antes que eso, habia estudiado Latin, y viajado en Espana. Cuando vovli de ese viaje, estudie espanol--teniendo suenos de vovler alli. Hasta hoy en dia, no he vuelto a espana. Pero he estado in Mexico cinco veces.

Tengo cuarenta y dos anos estudio en colegio, y una mi clase es espanol. Lunes y miercoles la noche. Clase dificil para comenzar, pero todos dias facil. Problemo ahora clase ciences la compudora; lo se

It's not perfect, but you guys have no idea how much that helps...I have a final in a week in this stuff and it's good to see it's sticking. Easier than convincing the charlie-oh-threes and whiskey-pappa-fours to endure bad band conditions and my beginning Spanish.
