Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul was asked during the CNN/Youtube debate, in what looked to be one of many staged videos designed to make Republicans look extreme, about his opposition to the North American Union.
Ron Paul clearly stated his opposition to Globalist goals to replace the U.S. government with a North American version. Paul said that it wasn’t a conspiracy theory saying that groups like the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and theThe Trilateral Commission do exist.
The Council on Foreign Relations proposes replacing all three branches of the U.S. government with a North American version (http://www.cfr.org/publication/8173/north_american_community_approach_to_security.html ), effectively replacing U.S. representative government. Many feel that the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) is the precursor to a North American Union. The SPP was created without congressional approval and is an executive branch initiative.
Ron Paul said that it was a battle of competing ideologies between those that believe in ‘Globalism’ and those that believe in the Constitution and national independence. Paul said “There is a move toward a North American union just like there was a more toward a European Union” in the past.
While some media outlets are pretending plans for a North American Union do not exist (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/politics/la-na-highway30nov30,1,4646522.story?coll=la-news-politics-national) by trying to wrap the whole issue around the question of whether plans for a NAFTA Super highway exists. The issue runs much deeper than that.
Recently former Mexican President Vincente Fox admitted to supporting the long term goal of a North American Union (http://usadaily.com/Article.cfm?articleID=122042) by building on NAFTA and said that he and President Bush planned for a regional currency similar to the Euro Dollar before the plan got derailed.
In September the Bush administration went forward with a pilot program allowing 100 Mexican trucking companies free reign to ship cargo anywhere in the U.S. Eventually all Mexican trucking companies are to be granted the same access.
Even Teamsters Union President, James P. Hoffa said (http://www.usadaily.com/article.cfm?articleID=130248), "The Bush administration has a master plan to erase all borders and to have a super-government in North America” as reported by WolrdNetDaily (http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=57628).
The goal of integrating the U.S., Mexico, and Canada is being done by erasing borders and creating interdependent economies without the consent of Congress or the American people.
Unfortunately many media outlets that are owned by multinational corporations are refusing to investigate the issue.
