Hi all,

I have an Icom 7000 and am looking for an atu for my radio. #Icom has the Icom AT180 but is on the expensive side. #I see that LDG has a LDG AT7000 to suit the Icom 7000. #This atu is cheaper than the Icom one and has over 2000 memories and comes complete with coax patch cable and other cables. Plug and play!

Can anyone comment on this atu? #Or is there anyone running an Icom 7000 with a LDG AT7000? #I look forward to hearing from you.

Dave;
I have an Icom-7000 with a LDG-Z-100 tuner. They did not have the 7000 tuner when I bought the Z-100. I have had great sucess with the Z-100 so , I would think the 7000 is even better

Hi Norm ( K8YQR ),

Thanks for replying to my post. #Glad to hear that your LDG tuner is working fine. #I have read some reviews on the LDG AT7000 and everyone seems to be happy with the unit and how it performs. Being designed for the Icom 7000 and including all the connections must be a good thing too.

Thanks for your comments.

No experience with that specific tuner, but I've got two LDG transmatch and they both work very well indeed.

I think you will be happy with their products.

Hi Eric ( KG6WOU ),

Thanks for your comments. I have not had any LDG gear before but from what I am hearing the LDG gear has a good name and most people seem happy with them. Thanks.

the little at7000 is a fantastic tuner, I use mine on my IC706 out and about mobile and the unit never fails to tune the most demanding antennas, the small size is great in the boot of the car and the rig head controls it straight out of the box no messing. a recommended buy and you can grab them BNIB on ebay at discount price too.

I use my AT-7000 with my IC-7000 and am very satisfied. I bought the combination because I saw every station of the Escondido Amateur Radio Society used both for field day in June and all were happy with the combined performance whether SSB or CW.

I use mine with wire dipoles on SSB and they tune up on any band from 160 to 10.

Hi everyone,

I decided it was time to go and grab one of these little units and I am so glad that I did. #It is a perfect match for my Ic-7000. #It hasn`t missed a beat and it looks right at home sitting on my desk with the 7000 on top of it.

Thank you to everyone that has responded to my post.

You may also notice I have a new call sign too. #I have also upgraded my Amateur Licence too. #From VK5FDMR to now VK5MRD.

73 all and catch you on the bands.

I also use a AT-7000 with my Icom 718. Great little tuner, plug and play once the radio settings are looked after.
Once it gains some memories it tunes quickly when jumping bands.

Plus LDG offered a free balun if you bought an LDG tuner during January. Anything free is all good :D
