They're striking?

Are you saying that somebody gets paid for the fecal matter that's on the air?

Has Hannity gotten any worse since he's started writing his own material? Or is he stealing it from Ann Coulter again?

Yeah, they were striking outside our building a few days ago.

Doesn't affect me, since writers don't write the news. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

They were there on Friday, on the street but barricaded by the police. #They were also protesting in front of NBC studios nearby (Rockefeller ctr).

I have videos too.

I know a few writers and actors and basically the whole gripe is about residuals (royalties) from DVDs and internet downloads. I don't blame them and honestly less time in front the TV will mean more time on the radio. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Flush Rush and the Doo-Doo Heads.

The strike has not affected anything I have seen, heard, watched or listened to in the slightest. The only reason I even know one is going on is what I have read in the newspaper and the comments I have seen posted on websites.

They cancelled a few shows including 24 (very popular) for this season. There is no doubt that the networks are losing money.

Remember that as a viewer you're not the customer. The real customers are the advertisers.

Yeah, but the advertisers only put the big money into shows with big ratings, so viewers really are the customers.

Of course, we could declare a day where everyone set their televisions to some horrible show and then just leave the house for the day. That would bump up the ratings of even a horrid program to "Top Ten."

Wouldn't that be funny? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
