Elderly woman calls Hillary "B" word and McCain responds (http://news.aol.com/elections/story/_a/question-puts-mccain-in-tight-spot/20071114091909990002)

Humorous really.

Its both humorous and disgusting. The fact that such derogatory terms have become an accepted part of normal everyday political discourse to the point where we no longer even bat an eye when they are used is in my opinion quite disgraceful. But that's just me and my old fashioned ideas.

Agreed.

Now, let's see, how far back do we need to go to find that element removed from society and politics?

I like his comment that, "I respect anyone who gets the nomination of the Democrat party." That is the way it should be on both sides. #But instead I heard a far right radio personality (Hannity I believe) talking about how they are going to stop Clinton. A football team that put out a hit contract on an opponent's leading player before the game #would be found guilty in court. We had an ice skater who tried to win that way. But we accept that in politics. Each side should stick to picking their candidate and then have at it for the actual election. I'm no Hillary fan but this thing of trying to take out the other side's strongest contenter before the contest makes me mad. Just naive on my part I guess.

No doubt a contender for the ZED joke of the week. #We all know the LIBS have nothing but kind words to say about Bush. #I love a laugh with breakfast.

XR once again you have managed to miss the point. Bush is not a candidate. And every setting president (other than George Washington perhaps) has been a target of the opposition party. Notice I stated that both sides should avoid attacks across the party lines until the final contest.

Missed the point again. You fail to note that my original post was in reference to CANDIDATES and NOT the setting president. You often change direction rather than address the issue raise-here by diverting the issue to Bush. Get over the fact that many people, myself included, do not like GWB. I respect the office not the man that occupies it right now. According to the polls I have a lot of company. And I reiterate that I wish BOTH #sides would get rid of their across party line candidate attack mode until the final contest.Let each side make their own choice first.

Twenty lashes with a wet noodle for me. I forgot that I promised to quit trying to get XR to answer a question straight up and not turn the issue somewhere else. #Should have remembered it is an impossible task http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
