I am sorry that Thanksgiving is a sad time for some native Americans, but for me it is a time to give thanks that my family is healthy and happy. This year we have a new daughter in-law in the family, and we are very thankful that she will be sharing the Holidays with us. My wife and I agree that Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday and we really whoop it up! Go Cowboys!

As a person who is lucky enough to live in the "now" and not in the "past" like certain races do, I do not feel one bit of guilt when my wife throws that big and fat bird into the oven.
I'm thankful for what my family and I have now. I don't give a crap about someone's feelings over events that happened hundred of years ago.
Thanksgiving is also my favorite holiday. It's the only holiday where family members are obligated to drop their differences and visit. I'm not going to let anyone try to throw me into a guilt trip celebrating what has become tradition in this country and in my family.

But for your final plea, perhaps, I could not agree more.
We all have much for which to be thankful, and it is good to be reminded of and reflect on life's blessings -- even if only once a year.
I take this early opportunity to extend to one and all -- yea, even unto those inveterate WL2K boosters -- Happy Thanksgiving wishes from the Right Coast.

Thanksgiving would be a lot more fun if it weren't for all the damned relatives.
Anybody wanna buy an out of work brother-in-law?
One of the few highlights of "Adams Family Values" is the scene at Camp Chippewa where the campers are putting on the play about Thanksgiving.
Christina Ricci as Wednesday steals the movie right then and there when her "Pocahontas" turns the tables on the camp counselors... and then some!

Glad you folks have got some turkeys. We've got bird 'flu again, thousands are being culled so if there are any turkeys in the shops at Chrismas they'll be a $100 each !
