An Indian man has married a female dog, believing the union will help him atone for stoning two other dogs to death.
P Selvakumar, 33, said he had been cursed since the killings, suffering paralysis and a loss of hearing.

The wedding took place at a Hindu temple in Tamil Nadu state. The "bride" wore an orange sari with a flower garland and was fed a bun to celebrate.

Would you do this to beat a curse?

Wonder how the wedding night was?

Never mind

As an atheist I can believe in no blessings or curses...because they are either supernatural or faith based.

I have found that many people believe in some sort of reincarnation. I don't. I only regret that I have one life to live as me.

Some Indians of India not only believe in reincarnation they believe that they can return to life after their death as rats, insects, dogs or whatever. Thus they don't want to kill any creatures because they might be killing a reincarnated mother-in-law or worse yet a favorite departed loved one. I dunno how they can tell who a creature might be unless they notice a strong family resemblance...and if they believe that people can be reincarnated as animals...why not believe that people can be reincarnated as computers. The computers can contain more intelligence than bed bugs I would assume.

w2ilp (Intelligent Living People)...may want to relive their lives as dogs...but when I leave this sphere I would prefer to cease to exist as soon as my brain waves stop....and I'm QRT.

It's only Hindus that believe that.

Also, they believe that what you do on Earth will determine what you are in your next life.

Rural India is strange though. But then again, so is rural America.

It comes from the term for describing a female that looked beautiful at 2 AM when you went home with her from the bar. #The next morning when you finally woke up she was still asleep on your arm and she was the ugliest woman you'd ever laid eyes on. #Rather than wake her and risk another encounter you would prefer to chew you arm off and leave, much in the manner as a coyote chewing off its leg to escape a trap. # # A woman that ugly is simply referred to as being coyote ugly. #
