I thought I would beat Greg to the punch on this one and also say that everyone knows you use a 9 mm on a tight lug nut.

An air impact wrench coupled to a hose and air compressor works better without the side effects of a using a shotgun with double ought buck shot at close range. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
This guy must of had a serious thinking impairment.

Well, either that or a 4 way wrench. But perhaps he was struck in the head by it when getting it off the high shelf in the garage, so he decided on the 9 instead?
Whisky Tango Foxtrot, over!

Include "WD-40" and a long "cheater" bar for mechanical leverage. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

The most frightening thing was that the man was NOT intoxicated.

I suppose he was testing the temper of the wheel?
I recall that Elvis once shot his cadillac because it wouldn't start.

Well, since he was trying to get the shock off, I can understand using a shotgun. The article didn't mention if he was wearing safety glasses or not.....
As I said in my thread about changing spark plugs in a Caravan, working on cars sucks!
It now costs as much to do a tune up on a front wheel drive V-6 as it does to buy a 27 inch color TV.
WTF is this world coming to?

Now when his buddies call him a lug nut it has a whole new meaning.
Reminds me of a 66 VW 1500. The rear brake drums had a nut that had rusted. With a 6 ft cheater pipe I was lifting the car standing on the pipe. I was out of shotgun shells so I resorted to Liquid Wrench.
