I had a brief but pleasant QSO with JH1OCC during the JOTA October 12th.
The next day off went my QSL card with a couple of bucks to cover postage back to the U.S.
I received the card today. Nothing unusual there BUT here’s the neat part.
Yuu sent back a dollar AND the 90 cent U.S. stamp which had not been canceled.
In a brief note he said he only needed $1 to cover the postage.
How’s that for the Ham spirit?
Oh yes, one more good news bit…I lost a couple of 1 per cent resistors for the Harbach Heathkit Amp power supply kit. Dang things jumped off the bench and I could not find them anywhere. Off went a note with an SASE and a couple of bucks to Jeff asking for replacements.
Four days later the SASE showed up with 3 resisters ( I only needed 2 ) and the couple of bucks I had sent to cover their cost were returned.
The good guys are still out there in the Amateur Radio world.
