Rats...I pulled out a couple of NE-2 lamps from my parts bin to send to a guy here, and I lost his callsign. Anyone remember who was looking for them?

NE2's have become nearly unobtanium? Wow. I used to hang them on the end of my antennas to drive the neighbours nuts when I was on the air. Nothing like a little neon bulb flickering at 30wpm up in a tree!

No, not really. #I was curious about this, so checked some distributors. #DigiKey does not have them, but Mouser and Jameco do. #Mouser lists seven variations and has a couple thousand of the basic version in stock. #
Prices vary from about $0.23 to $0.50 each, with quantity discounts. #You could buy 100 for $15. #
There is an online specialty dealer who is charging over $3.00 each, so be careful where you shop.
