Sprint , Verizon and now I read AT%T ?
Ever wondered why you get a commercial on Vonage crammed down your throat every commercial break ?
Goofey commercial but its the battle of the wits.

I have been using Vonage for several months now and have been quite happy with it. Got sick of paying Verizon for the outrageously expensive POTS line. Decided to give Vonage a try. Vonage sent a router/adapter. I attached it to the main Internet router in the cellar and tied the inhouse phone wiring to the adapter. Works fine. If you lived in this building and didn't know the phone services were switched you wouldn't notice any difference. The only major difference is the price, $24/month instead of $60+ / month.w
I guess the best way for the big players to eliminate the competition is to litigate them into oblivion. Eventually our Vonage VOIP service will probably be taken over by Verizon and I'll be paying Verizon monthly for phone service again. When that day comes hopefully they'll keep the price reasonable. But with no competitors why should they ?
Funny thing is even though we are using Vonage for the phone service we're still using Verizon since they are the Internet provider here. I still pay Vz for Internet service.

Von didnt have service in our area, Ive been with Lingo for about 3 years now... Features out the wazoo... (Ive got a few telemarketers that refuse to take "no and dont call back" for an so answer so they are re-routed to another telemarketer and my phone never rings HE HE)
The voice quality is easily better than with Verizon, and tons cheaper too! When we moved, I got my cable net back up and just plugged up the box... No changing of phone numbers, waiting for new service install, none of that monkey junk... just plugged it up and it ran fine!
