Why dontcha ax him then? Seems that you must've heard that from a NEOCON. They keep mumbling 'Mission Accomplished!' and 'Stay the Course.' Wish they'd make up their minds.

Besides, we'll soon have World War III. It should be over in a couple of hours. NEOCONs (and the rest of us) can glow in the dark and we'll all sing Kumbaya followed by a roast of all those that didn't survive.

I'll bet UEY got so happy hearing this that it brought tears to his eyes. Amerika Uber Alles.

Do yourself a favor. Don't take my word for this.

Go out into the world and see for yourself:

There is one ( 1 ) argument in all the universe:

"You have to do what I tell you because I am the boss over you. So there."

I see it in the workplace. The neighborhood. Bars. Especially bars.

When you see that for yourself, check this out:

War is "You have to do what I tell you because I am the boss over you. So there." On a national scale. To wit:

"You over there have to do what we tell you because our glorious leader is the boss over everybody. So there."

Remember Muammar al-Qaddafi? Bombed an airliner and a disco, among other things.

Ronald Reagan et al bombed Muammar al-Qaddafis tent. Missed him, killed his daughter.

Calmed Muammar al-Qaddafi right down. He's still the big cheese over in Libya. Remember Libya? I bet you haven't thought about Libya since Ronald Reagan et al bombed Muammar al-Qaddafis tent. Missed him, killed his daughter.

He's still the big cheese because he calmed down. Learned his lesson. Dropped the loose cannon unpredictable behavior. Which has probably been a good thing for Libya.

You got a situation like that, or WWII, you got to do what you got to do.

Boy, what a mess we are handing over to hillary. I bet the icing on the "Screw you Bitch" from the repulsive party will be cun control laws to start out her first term in a big way for the rest of us.

Bought a video from the cold war days. Panic in Year Zero. Buy it.

I am going to improve my 12 volt system in my trailer, maybe buy a bigger solar panel, and upgrade my generator. Also, rotate my food storage, for it is now over a year old.

Pretty much got a years supply of everything else, including clothing and footwear.Gotta get a real good surge protector, and a really good lightning protector, or when I am nor using my rig, disconnect it from an antenna.

There are no tatical targets in Lucerne Valley proper, but when the fires ate up Big Bear, refugees poured into the town, and propane was hard to come by.

Too bad 30 round mags are still illeagal in California. I have a dozen 10 rounders, and a bunch for the 9mm too, but that number up the tube is no good for a really intense fight unless I have others with me laying down a field of fire so others can flank the bad guys.
Yup, if you gotta live thru this, you gotta circle the wagons. Gotta make plans. Form a group. When the bomb drops, we.....

A dozen years ago, I was called a nutty survivalist, for thinking like this. Now, I will be the surviver everyone will want in their circle of friends.

Problem is, my ideas of friends is different now. I need rational people, who do not rationalize chos as an excuse to kill the minority neibor down the street. Despity what happens. lifeboat senerios will crop up all over. And when the government rears it's burrcratic head once more, agents of the government are going to look inside of all those lifeboats, and if murders occured, people will repeat will be proscuited.

Stay away from the cities. The ganstas will be going nuts.
Keep out of jail. Do you really think jailers will stay on duty, to nake sure you are fed while trapped behind bars?

Avoiding fallout is easier done than said. A tatical nuke will have a cloud that will be easy to watch. I may be as simple as walking a mile or two to avoid the majority of fallout. And fallout from over the hill, which is where the prevailing winds come from will be cleaner than the hillsides on the bomb side.

Do not let the popular press regulate what you know or belive about fallout . Find old army or marine or navy or air force or coast guard field manuals. The first hour is the most critical. If you can stay upwind and not under the mushroom your chanches for survival have improved to near 100 %

It has been 20 years since I had emt level skills. I started college pre med, but dropped that. Gotta go to the red cross, and take advanced first aid. Basic first aid will be near useless, if you are in agroup and need a skill to contributs, or you have to watch your spouse or child suffer because you did not know how to set a bone in an emergency.

Three books, a must buy. here there is no Doctor, Where there is no Dentist and Where there is no vet." You can find them in spanish, oo, on the internet. Just punch "Where there is no Doctor".

Gold coins. Silver coins. Ammo, even for guns you do not have. I bet a gallon of generator fuel or propane can be paid for with a box of .22LR.Need to get a rimfire or two. I bet auto fepairs can be paid for with a rifle and ammo, even a lowly 22.

I think I need to spend another thousand or two.

There is nothing wrong with striving for and working toward a world with no wars.. It may be impractical at present to acheive but we can start by trying to reduce war and reduce the conditions that create war. Not an easy task to do but a good start would be an end to corrupt wars like Iraq.

Just because war has been a staple part of man's existance for a long time doesn;t mean we have to accept it as a permanent condition. many scholarly writings have indicated that war is not the natural state we have conditioned ourselves to think it is.

Inflicting more casualties (both material and manpower) at Pearl on December 7 would have had little effect on the ultimate outcome of the conflict. At best, it would have further delayed the inevitable. Their primary targets, the Lexington, Saratoga and Enterprise were all at sea. Even if the Japanese had located and destroyed one or even two of them, it would have had a minimal long term impact. The Japanese Empire simply couldn't compete with America's industrial efficiency at the time.

It is a statement I belive in thoroughly. War is actually good for nothing.
War is the "continuation of politics with other means." - Carl Von Clausewitz.
The conclusion of a war does not determine who is right, only who is left.

In addition, we have learned that they violated strategic agreements -- not only developing weaponized germs, but also the means to deliver them.
Wow, sounds like we need to attack before it's too late. If we don't attack, what's the use of even talking about it.

In prep. for WWIII, get some good hollow state boat anchors...those EMP's will render any solid state equipment useless.

It is important to talk about it because the Chimpublican in Chief and his zany side-kick have been doing everything in their power to build international tensions and weaken America.

Hey, no problem. I got a mountain and continuous ridge about 400 feet higher than my roof top looking towards my east, NYC and about 10 miles long running north to south. Real bitch getting over that on VHF and UHF, but it can be done.

The blast(s) should just go overhead and dissipate. Probably create a hell of an aurora

And it will matter naught. Rarely will one nuke be used and usually the burst is atmospheric not on the ground. I'd say move to a cave and roll a rock over the entrance Bill.

I'm Un-American? My sweet ***! Get a life libs, I was joking about whats war good for. War should be the last resort but sometimes its the only option such as in 1776 and 1941. When you do go to war you have to fight to win, Failure is not a Option.

We've come so far since the 2000 election.

Before that election, it seemed that we were friends with almost everybody.

We know now that all those foreigners were really just plotting to kill us.

Maybe more poignantly, after 9/11 we had the sympathies and empathies of practically the whole world. Then, we started with the saber-rattling, and the FM took care of personal business with Saddam (at the expense of way too much blood spilled and way too much gold frittered away), and now, yes, the world hates us.

But, y'know, lots of people here tell us that we just don't have to care about what other nations think of us. Heck, we'll just march in there and show 'em how to live. Yep, that's whut we'll do.
