Yep, it's a mighty prestigious award alright.

It seems that he is using the same kind of logic as Al Gore.

And this has what to do with Al Gore beyond the award? I am certainly no fan of Gore, but this seems like a rather tenuous connection to make to him.

I mentioned it for the same reason the media did - TODAY.
Gore is keeping good company.
Don't worry fellas, the award is still loaded with racial integrity and hot air.

On that we probably agree. It seems to have become a political pulpit award instead of what it was originally intended for. Though I don't think Al Gore has done anything wrong it seems like there are people doing good works on this planet that don't have ten zillion dollars and a high profile persona to make everyone pay attention to them.

The point is simple (IMHO). Just because you have won a Nobel prize, doesn't mean you qualify for sainthood or super genius. For instance, if they will give a peace prize to a know terroist, what does that say about an organization. Remember, Yassir Arafat recieved a Nobel Peace prize. It would be like giving Sandy Berger the administration director position at the National Archives.

I suppose you all felt the same when Kissinger won in 73, right??
For anyone actually interested, here is a list of all the winners:

Think about it. Kissinger was a mass murderer. yet he won the award,
Al's in real good company, it runs in the family.

Al's definitely in Good Company. None of the NEOCONs here criticizing the award have won it, so he's way ahead of the game.
This has more to do with that Druggie Loser Tokyo Rush not even getting nominated than anything else.

Let me join in on the links along with K3XR, though this one is at least relevant to the topic and I have given my opinion as opposed to just posting a link. Sorry XR, had to say it, I don't know why you can't speak your own mind, as I've asked you about earlier, to no avail.

If the nobel prize is for evil racists then why was Rush Limbaugh nominated for it by Mark Looney Levin?

I don't think Gore and Carter were/are, but according to someone, there are recipiants who are mass murderers. Yassir Arafat is/was a known terrorist.
