Did you put your name on the do-not-call registry? We did shortly after it was formed, and it stopped everything but charities and politicos

The typical telemarketer is not the bad guy. He/she is just some flunkie who is trying to earn a few bucks. It's a miserable boring job and the people who do it take a lot of abuse and flack from their supervisons.
If one really hates telemarketing the people to go after are the sleazy businesses profiiting on this type of invasive sales technique. And the businesses who contract with telemarketers.
Beyond that the guy on the other end of the phone is a nobody who is underpaid and can get fired at the whim of any of his supervisors for even the slightest mistake.

My dad did a lot telemarketing as part of his business in the 80s. He even put me on the phone a few times. What an absolutely horrible experience!
