I am a Scout dad with BSA Pack 88 Den 1 from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. We will be operating during the Jamboree On The Air event, Sunday October 21st 2007 from my station in Pen Argyl, PA. We will be looking for activity on/near the JOTA suggested operating frequencies. We have a Den of 12 boys, all of whom, except my son, will be getting their first taste of ham radio during this event. With the solar cycle as it is, I would hate their first contact with hamming to bore them to tears. Not just for my Den, but for any bunch of good kids anywhere, if you have the chance, Scout or not, please give a listen for and spend a few moments of your time with anyone you hear calling "CQ JOTA" etc. If you are a Scout Leader or like me, a Den Dad With a Radio, (DDWR), and would like to make a sked to help ensure our boys get to talk to other Scouts, drop me a note at PennsyRadioGuy@aol.com. Thanks de Tom W3FIK
