Rats....my hyperparnoid firewall at work won't let me get in. I'll have to do this when I get home.
Very cool though. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Nice to be able to move the cursor back to pick up the letters you missed! Wonder how many WPM that was? I am so rusty but still surprized myself and co-workers that I could write down what was being sent. Most had never heard the code before, or had any idea what it meant. SURE glad you don't have to take the 13 WPM anymore or do it again and again to renew the license! I'd loose my Extra and be demoted back to Technician!

I used the "slow' feature of the Windows Media player to slow it down. I can copy great at 13-15wpm. Any faster and I get frustrated loosing characters.

I notice he hasn't posted a reply yet...
I'm a contester, but I used to handle traffic on CW, too - that was probably my biggest WPM booster. I also used to stay up late to copy UPI news at 25 WPM when I was studying for my Extra.
Now, why would I want to confuse the no-coders? Code (http://www.morseresource.com/morse/out/mp-47053db7a45c5.mp3)
you don't need to do the bk after the section....

Actually, I usually send the exchange like this:
(other station's call) NR CK SECTION de K0RGR BK
The BK is redundant, of course. If he called me, I throw in a 'TU' and end with a 73 most of the time.

That format conveys the info, but actually runs contrary to the rules. Remember, the format exchange is used to emulate the header on an ARRL message gram (as you are probably aware)

Folks are looking for that sequence, and when you send 103 65 MN de K0RGR, you're going to get a lot of di-di-dah-dah-di-dits.
