Bottom line - he should spend a lot more than a day in jail.

This is an example of a judge protecting one of their own.

He ruined the lives of those lacross players (well, for the short term). Changed their lives forever.

His malicious prosecution should not have been allowed to continue. All that was done here was send a message to a prosecutor - "do whatever you can to get the conviction, moral, legal or otherwise. We'll defend you if you get caught".

1 day, friggin' sickening.

Unfortuantely, he'll probably be segregated as well - no chance of at least one small part of real redemption.

I don't know if it's worth $10 mil apiece (probably not) but this guy is trash, should spend a lot more than a day in jail, and should never work again.

When I first heard of this incident the day the news broke, I told my XYL and kids, "this is all made up, the La Crosse guys didn't do anything." I was speculating, but I could just see it in their faces.

It is one of those rare moments in time that I totally agree with you, but mostly because you finally contributed something without a partisan spin.

The reforms in the legal system there should be considered even more significant that the suggested settlement amounts. I hope they stick to their guns and accomplish their goal.
