View Full Version : Conservative Ben Nelson-What are Americans asking?

Quote[/b] ]Nebraska's Ben Nelson is not what you'd call the most liberal Democrat in the Senate. In fact, he is the least likely of any Democrat in the Senate to vote with the Democratic caucus...

And what does Ben Nelson's "pretty good idea of where Nebraskans are" on Iraq say?

Quote[/b] ]Most Americans, he said, are asking "when will our troops come home."

..."when will our troops come home." (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/9/7/12150/12406)

Ahhh...... post from a legitimate news source next time.

Kos is nothing but a propaganda blog.

Might be true, but it holds as much truth as any other tabloid.

Thanks for that selective critique, Mr. Modarat. The source provides links to news sources to back up their allegations. Why is it that self-professed modarats like yourself here are never News Nazis (© 4MW), with conservative blogs used as sources on their 'stories'. Blogs that rarely reference a real news source to bolster their allegations?

The heartland is merely asking what Liberals have been asking for a couple of years before them. Another indication of True Liberal Genius.

Ahhh... where have I used blogs to back up my argument?

If you can at least provide that as critique, then I will bow my head to you sir.

Until then...... You're not an independent, ignorant more likely.

Get it?

If your problem is the source, why haven't you told Danno to stop posting from WND and NewsMax too?

You've become quite the right-winger lately, Albert. I understand the typical dem would be a rock if they raised their IQ a point or two, but are you seeing imaginary conservatives in the right wing lunatic fringe these days?

All I can find are those self righteous, war mongering neo-dudes, who claim to be conservatives but spend money like drunken sailors on shore leave, just as bad or worse that the dems.

I've just noticed you've failed to spend any quality time bashing the republicant "studs". Are you morphing into one of these uber right wing neoconservative ditto heads? Should I put you down for a medium wave receiver this year for your Christmas gift? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Anybody who posts world nut daily links should be shot in the face with a double-barreled poop gun ... both barrels at point blank range.

Or hot air dot com. That's the funniest one Ive seen yet. Hot air dot com. I'd rather be stripped naked in the middle of Broad Street than associate my callsign with a link to hot air dot com. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

C'mon man.... KOS has zero cred above WND or NewsMax - for that matter, salon.com falls in the same category.

They all fall rather into the same category for the most part.

But they are entertaining, we've all got to get our propaganda somewhere!

I am no "right-winger." Neither am I a "left-winger." There is no end of challenges to the phony propaganda being posted by purveyors of what all of you style as "neo-con" rhetoric linking to blog sites where the usual style is to lift statements out of context and to hype a political opinion. I simply feel that a bit of balance is fair when there are two trolls, one posting nonsense from the right and the other offering a seemingly unending series of nonsense from the left. Under the guise of "independence," which clinched for me the underlying lack of honesty in that poster's process.

This site thrives on the weak of mind, and I feel a small obligation to point out a troll. The usual "right-winger" in your sights cannot flatulate without being called to account, which is perfectly fair, so I feel the same should be true for the other side.

With that, I am in total agreement. It is difficult enough to sort through the hubris on the mainstream news sources. These "little" sources, typically run by slime ball losers, are beyond ridiculous.

And that is just the point. Two primary political trolls, both of which offer naught but dredgings from such sites. One, at least, honestly states his views are from the right of Jinghis Khan. The other...

Ah, c'mon Albert, lighten up. Jonothan and I should hit the road as a comedy team. We'd get more airplay than that solo comedian, OxyRushbo.

Besides, punting neocons here keeps me off the streets.

Okay, here's proof of her allegations that Nelson is the Democrat least likely to vote in his party:

Nelson = DINO (http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/110/senate/party-voters/)

As for her assertion that Nelson is saying what is quoted:

Quote[/b] ]During his time in Nebraska during the August congressional recess, Nelson said, “Iraq certainly dominated the conversation almost everywhere.”

Most Americans, he said, are asking “when will our troops come home.”

* Nelson Interview * (http://www.journalstar.com/news/politics/doc46df16239df86078721431.txt)

Also, to portray Daily Kos as the same as WND or NewsMax is a travesty and shows gross ignorance or worse the usual spin despite the facts. Daily Kos is a site which is definitely Liberal. I've never said otherwise. WND and NewsMax have 'reporters' who skew the information and claim to be news sources, but have such a bad track record they are rarely if ever attributed to in the MSM. Unlike WND or NewsMax, and as proven right here - right now, they do attribute their allegations to real news sources. Daily Kos is an opinion site, but they usually bolster those opinions with real news sources. I know it's hard for the righties to know the difference, but it's what makes them a much better source than the usual propaganda pap that Danno quotes. You don't have to like it, but it's there.

Now, show where I've ever said that I'm not Liberal. I may be Independent, but I've never shed my stripes. Being Independent does not mean moderate or middle-of-the-road. My voice isn't falsetto from sitting on the picket fence and not being to one side or the other.

Then again, on QRZ, being Democrat is being confused constantly with being Liberal. The two are not the same, as Conservative Democrat Nelson proves. And as a Liberal, I will not defend anybody who is corrupt or guilty of violating the public trust. Unlike the Republicans, conservatives and neocons about QRZ who have done exactly this time and time again, enabling those who are perverting the system.

Gotta take back what I said about News Max. They've more or less cleaned up their act. Too bad they're proving conservatives can't count:

Letterman Top 10 Sept. 5th:

Quote[/b] ]News Max:

10. Increase legroom by removing brake pedal
9. Option to overcharge foreigners
8. Wi-Fi turbans
6. Satellite radio so we can listen to Arabic shock jock Mahmoud Stern
4. Better selection of DVDs to watch while driving
3. Finally make mirrors in which objects are not closer than they appear — are we living in the stone age, people?
1. No pants, no problem
