Hi All,
On August 14, 2002 I lost an elmer and friend of nearly 40 years.
Rodney Jackson, WA9NZF, passed away after a 6 month battle with
cancer. He had turned 65 in the fall and was thinking of continuing
working. Over the years, as he helped me get started in ham radio
and later as I helped him into computers and digital modes
we developed one of those easy going "saturday afternoon friendships"
where we got together, worked on equipment, or just chatted. For many
years he, Tom Watgen, WB9IDB,and I spent many an afternoon
from 4:30 to 5:00PM on 40M or 75M. It's hard to believe he is gone
though I will always remember the good times we had.
