If I caught this thing, I'd throw my fishing pole and run for my life. (http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_aug2007/PiranhaOnSteroids.htm)

Doesn't look like a carp to me.
I don't think the family jewels would be enough to satisfy that guy....at least not mine anyway

I don't know what it is, but it doesn't look like a piranha. Much too big, too few teeth to be a piranha

Sounds like you couldn't give a carp, either. ;>

I don't actually think that is a pirhana either, but so far I've stuck out on google looking for fish with big teeth.

Ain-choo guys never heard of the Hydrocynus (http://www.aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/wild/hydrocynus.htm#top2) Vittatus, also known as the African Tiger Fish??
Google is your friend, and Snopes.com helped out a bit on this as well!

That thing could take your whole "package" in one nip. #This species could be the reason behind the development of swimming pools. # http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I did the Google thing and Snopes but didn't find it. I didn't try that hard though either.

speakin of those cotton wads I heard a conversation about the toilet plugged full of them not the turtle I had a call of a plugged pipe after ramming out some calcium buildup, and later had been drilled out and now a busted drain pipe.
After news reports about lake contamination, XYL & I go to private recreation places, clean & Safe.
My Dad used to catch Snappers with a tree stick and toss them in the trunk, and back in 1988 or so a small can of Snappin turtle in the special section was $2.50 a can tells you what it sold one time.

From that aquarium related link you posted:
"African Tiger Fish eat smaller fish and crustaceans such as live Ghost Shrimp and larger shrimp sold in supermarkets for human consumption".
